Grab the latest build from the button above.

Drag to Applications
Open the .dmg and drag OffReco into your Applications folder.

Launch → first-run wizard
On first launch a wizard asks for Microphone and Calendar access (no screen recording). The recommended model downloads automatically.
Requirements
- macOS 14.2 or later
- Apple Silicon recommended (GPU via mlx)
- Intel supported (CPU via faster-whisper)
Safe to run
The app is notarized by Apple. Neither your audio nor your transcripts ever leave your Mac — transcription even works in Airplane mode.
If you see a Gatekeeper prompt on first launch, choose “Open.”

OffReco runs with every feature on macOS 14.2 (Sonoma) or later. Support is identical on Apple Silicon and Intel.

On macOS 14.0–14.1, only system-audio recording is unavailable (mic recording, transcription and diarization still work). Update to 14.2+ for the full feature set. macOS 13 (Ventura) and earlier are not supported.

How to check your macOS
